On November 5th, 1997, Jerusalem celebrated Solomon Khromchenko’s 90th birthday, one month ahead of schedule. The ambience was very warm and cozy. The birthday boy was greeted by pianist Evgeny Shenderovich et poet Andrey Dementiev, many artists of different generations, representatives of state institutions… He listened to audio-greetings sent by Pavel Lisitsian and Zara Dolukhanova, and to the messages from Evgeny Svetlanov, Arthur Eizen, Vladimir Spavakov and many other personalities whom he had med during his long life. At the end of the evening, Solomon Khromchenko stepped up to the stage. And did not disappoint.
